Patchwork Metropolis

This artwork offers a panoramic perspective of intersecting and branching routes within an envisioned urban landscape, presented through a combination of various artistic mediums. The design predominantly draws inspiration from the imprints found on the foundational fabric known as “Achadiya.” It incorporates an amalgamation of diverse stitching techniques, including patchwork, pasting, and couching. By employing the mending and repairing process and incorporating stitches reminiscent of the Rabari stitch called “Khelavni,” this artwork came to life using a wide array of fabric cuts and individual pieces.
