Sangita is the founder, CEO & lead designer of Tulips (our parent company) and has been working in the textile design domain for over 30 years. Sangita is the heart and soul behind Tulips and SoftStory. Sangita brings her undying passion for her work and love for her team to work everyday.
Chhail an alumna of NID and the HSLU, Switzerland. Chhail handles all things business at SoftStory, whether that includes the inventory, stock management, or collaboration and associations. She also oversees the social media and the website back-end.
Manohar is the Production Lead at SoftStory. Manohar has been a part of the Tulips family for over 25 years and now is the point person responsible for production management, inventory management, and sourcing.
Shruti Bhargav, a freshly graduated textile designer who is fascinated for Indian crafts and sustainability. Works as a Junior designer and evolves around the team members. Interested in brainstorming new concepts and techniques which brings out the creative perspectives of SoftStory.
Aneesbhai is one of the oldest Karigars (Craftsman) who started at Tulips 25 years ago. Aneesbhai is the Master Karigar responsible at SoftStory for Design Execution and Manufacturing.
Shaheed Bhai started 28 years ago at Tulips and has been part of the team since Tulips laid its roots. As a Master Karigar at SoftStory, he is in-charge of Design Implementation.
Another one of our oldest karigars, Mehboobbhai is very good at multitasking. Managing the floor as well the machine with equal prowess, he is adds a great deal of support to the team.
Kamleshbhai has amazing skills with the foot of the machine. From pleats to pin-tucks to drawing directly on the fabric with the machine itself, he falls short at nothing. A very kind, warm person, he moves through departments with great fluidity making himself useful wherever he goes.
Beenaben is an excellent handwork artisan, very capable in different styles of embroideries including traditional styles and contemporary ones too. She has a very warm presence in the studio. Always checking to see that we are all well-hydrated, its a pleasure to have her around.
Urjitaben has been associated with SoftStory for quite a while now. A very talented embroidery artisan, her knack for neatness and quest to learn more never ceases to surprise us. Her support has proven very valuable in meeting tight deadlines. She has a great knack for selecting the right embroidery stitches.

Ranjitaben is a prolific multi-talented member of the team. She is not only skilled on the machine but is very good with helping on the floor, while being skilled at embroidery as well. A team player, she has been a very valuable addition to the team.
