Most religions around the world, celebrate and worship the power of the feminine. This piece talks about the gender duality and the grace of womanhood that has given birth (pun intended) to the civilization. The masculine and the feminine come together to give shape to the world. This piece highlights one of the oldest truths known to nature, procreation. If you observe the piece closely, you will see the womb that depicts the concept abstractly. As is a part of her handwriting, Sangita Khalsa, used an ‚Achadiya‘ as a base to make this piece, which also became a core part of her inspiration for this creation. The natural forms that occur due to multiple rounds of block printing on the Achadiya, speak to her and guide her to compose her pieces accordingly.
